The five mentors for 2017-2018 are ready to be presented! Here is a short description of our next one.
Birte Norheim holds a Master of Finance from Queensland University of Technology (Australia), 2002.
Norheim has more than 10 years’ experience from the oil and gas industry in addition to extensive experience from several areas within financial management. She holds international experience from educational and corporate institutions as well as extensive experience with investor relations within listed companies.
Norheim was previously Vice President, Finance at Sevan Marine ASA where she was responsible for investor relations and financial reporting. Prior to this, Birte has been employed as Chief Accountant and Finance Analyst at MI-Swaco in Norway and Houston respectively. Early in her career, she started out as Accountant at Laerdal Medical AS.
Norheim has been with Njord Gas Infrastructure for the last five years. She started her career as Finance Director within the company, and has been CEO for the last three years. Njord Gas Instrastructure is the third largest owner in the Gassled JV, the world´s largest offshore gas transmission system.
Since 2016 Norheim has been deputy board member of Sandnes Sparebank.
What is Mentor?
Mentor is a management development program, organized by Nettverk Stavanger, where senior managers are volunteering as mentors for a whole year. Mentor is free of charge, and everyone under the age of 40 can apply. The program is carried out with specialist support from Bjornson Organizational psychologists. Read more here.
